Sermon: Tell Our Stories – Psalm 106 by Rev David Tidey. Service was opened by singing Praise; Mighty to Save and Forever. Followed by scripture readings: Psalm 106: 1 – 8. 12 – 16, 47 – 48, and Psalm 107: 1 – 3. In preparation for the message we sang His Mercy is More. After the sermon we joined together having Communion then closed the service singing A thousand Hallelujahs. 

Two Ways To Live – Psalm 1 by Rev David Tidey. Songs sung prior to the message were Great Things; Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace) and What a beautiful name it is. Scripture Reading: Psalm 1: 1 – 6. Prayer Focus was “Prayer for our World”. Following the message we sang a reflection song: Lord I need you. Then closed the service singing: O Come to the Altar.

Mission Sunday – Guest Speaker from Baptist World Aid, Rob Townsend, sharing on Psalm 72. Songs sung prior to the message were: Forever; Living Hope & Christ is Enough. Scripture readings: Psalm 72: 1 -7, 12 – 14, 17 – 20. Service was closed by singing Build your Kingdom. Service was followed by a Missions Lunch.

Sermon: The Shepherd that gives us Rest – Psalm 23 by Janelle Tidey. Songs sung prior to the message were: Oceans; Have Faith in God and Still. The scripture reading was Psalm 23. Prayer Focus was peoples requests. The message was followed by singing a reflection song: Abide. Then the service was closed by singing the hymn Blessed Assurance.  Children’s Church was also back in action after the school holiday break.

Sermon: Their Final Destiny – Psalm 73 by Rev David Tidey. Songs sung prior to the message were: Thanks and Praise; Abide and Christ is Enough. Scripture readings were: Psalm 73: 1 – 17 and 27 – 28. We also came around the Lord’s table to take Communion together before closing with the song: Yet Not I but Through Christ In Me. Children’s Church will resume next Sunday the 11th October.

Baptism Sunday – Sermon: Why, God? We Shall Rise Up – Psalm 74 by Rev David Tidey. Songs sung prior to the message were: In Christ Alone; Sinking Deep & Beneath the Waters (I will Rise). Scripture Readings were: Psalm 74: 1 – 8; 12; 18 – 23. Prayer focus was: Prayer for our world. There was a reflection song played prior to the message entitled: Rise Up, O God (based off of Psalm 74). Song sung after the message: I know a Name. We then witnessed the Baptism of two of our young adults, a wonderful occasion. Then closed the service singing the song, One Thing Remains. Children’s Church is in recess due to the school holidays resuming on the 11th of October.

Sermon: God Will Rescue Me – Psalm 91 by Rev David Tidey. Songs sung prior the message were Hosanna (Praise is Rising); Goodness of God; Great are you Lord; Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace) and Trust In You. Prayer Focus was Missions with a focus on Nepal after the recent catastrophic floods. Service was closed by singing Great Things. Children’s Church is in recess due to the school holidays. It will resume on the 11th of October.

Sermon: Thanksgiving Service – Psalm 107 with special Guest Speaker Andrew McCafferty (Qld Baptist Training Coordinator). Songs sung prior to the message: Thanks & Praise; Forever; How Great is our God and 10,000 Reasons. There was a special Thanksgiving Offering taken to support 3 local causes, including Schools, Church and Chaplaincy programs. The song Give Thanks was sung while this offering was taken. The service was then closed by singing Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) and Thanks & Praise. Children’s Church had their final lesson prior to the school holidays which begin next weekend. Children’s Church will now resume on the 11th of October. 

Sermon: Fearfully & Wonderfully Made – Psalm 139 by Rev David Tidey. Today we looked at Fathers in the Bible, how our Fathers may have been good or bad (or neutral) and how God has created us as He wants us to be, fearfully and wonderfully made. Songs sung prior to the message were, Good Good Father; Our God and How Deep the Fathers Love for Us. The children’s church with Miss Cathy’s guidance, presented a wonderful segment to celebrate the Dad’s in our congregation. Communion was also shared prior to the last song, Who You Say I Am.
