Speaking Light into Darkness: The Power of Compassionate Communication
Words can heal or hurt—especially when someone is struggling. This workshop will help you understand how pain affects communication and how to respond with care. You’ll learn how to truly listen, choose words that bring hope, and avoid common mistakes that can deepen someone’s hurt.
These workshops are hands-on and engaging, so you’ll leave each session with real skills you can use right away. Whether you support others in a professional or personal role, this training will equip you to bring light into the darkness with confidence and compassion.

2025 Theme "Beyond the Fence"
When Jesus said “I am the vine and you are the branches” he passes us the mandate to produce fruit. The fruit for us as a church is beyond our fence, beyond our regular interactions and relationships, beyond what we are familiar with, and at times, beyond our comfort. This year we are focusing on and reaching out to those who don’t know Jesus and help them to meet the vine.
