Church Pastor – Rev David Tidey

Rev. David Tidey, known for his deep passion for God, Queensland, and all things Holden, began his career as a Fitter and Turner before entering ministry at 23 25 with YWAM Sydney. There, he met his wife, Janelle, and together, they raised two daughters, Natasha and Jasmyne.

In 1995 1998, David completed his theological studies. The following year, he received his ordination, beginning his pastoral journey as a youth minister with YWAM Newcastle as the High School Ministry Leader, and later working with Youth for Christ (YFC) Newcastle.

After two decades in New South Wales, David returned to Queensland to serve as Associate Pastor at Coolum Beach Baptist. In 2010, he became the Senior Pastor of Yandina Baptist, where he also made significant contributions to the community by serving as President of the Yandina Chamber of Commerce, Coordinator of the Yandina Street Fair, and Coordinator of the Yandina Community Christmas Carols. His efforts earned him a nomination for the Sunshine Coast Council’s Citizen of the Year Award.

In 2022, David joined Queensland Camping and Conference Centres (QCCC) as Community and Outreach Pastor, focusing on connecting youth with God through camping programs.

In 2024, David and Janelle relocated to Stanthorpe, where he serves as Pastor. To hear more from David, visit our sermon section.
