Sermon: God Will Rescue Me – Psalm 91 by Rev David Tidey. Songs sung prior the message were Hosanna (Praise is Rising); Goodness of God; Great are you Lord; Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace) and Trust In You. Prayer Focus was Missions with a focus on Nepal after the recent catastrophic floods. Service was closed by singing Great Things. Children’s Church is in recess due to the school holidays. It will resume on the 11th of October.

Sermon: Thanksgiving Service – Psalm 107 with special Guest Speaker Andrew McCafferty (Qld Baptist Training Coordinator). Songs sung prior to the message: Thanks & Praise; Forever; How Great is our God and 10,000 Reasons. There was a special Thanksgiving Offering taken to support 3 local causes, including Schools, Church and Chaplaincy programs. The song Give Thanks was sung while this offering was taken. The service was then closed by singing Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) and Thanks & Praise. Children’s Church had their final lesson prior to the school holidays which begin next weekend. Children’s Church will now resume on the 11th of October. 

Sermon: Fearfully & Wonderfully Made – Psalm 139 by Rev David Tidey. Today we looked at Fathers in the Bible, how our Fathers may have been good or bad (or neutral) and how God has created us as He wants us to be, fearfully and wonderfully made. Songs sung prior to the message were, Good Good Father; Our God and How Deep the Fathers Love for Us. The children’s church with Miss Cathy’s guidance, presented a wonderful segment to celebrate the Dad’s in our congregation. Communion was also shared prior to the last song, Who You Say I Am.

Fifth Sunday – Testimony Sunday, lead by Janelle Tidey. This Sunday we heard from a few members of our congregation as they shared their testimony. Children’s Church is in recess until the 13th Sept.

Sermon: I will declare God’s love forever – Psalm 89 by Harry Hennessy. Songs sung prior to the message: My Lighthouse; I could sing of your love forever; It is well and Jesus Loves Me. Prayer focus: Prayer for our world. Scripture Reading: Psalm 89. Closed the service by singing the chorus of the song, Steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. 

Sermon was on Psalm 137 – By the Rivers of Babylon – Speaker: Max Dudgeon. Songs sung prior to the message were: Shout to the Lord; The Heart of Worship; Beneath the Waters ( I will Rise) and Zion. Prayer focus was Missions. Scripture reading was Psalm 137. Service was closed by singing the hymn: How Great Thou Art. 

Sermon: God is my Shield – From the new series on Psalms by quest speaker Harry Hennessy. Songs sung prior to the message: This I believe; Abide; Awesome God and Good, Good Father. Prayer focus was people’s requests. Scripture Reading: Psalm 7: 1 – 11. Closed the service singing Goodness of God and reading through the words of the song Confidence (as our closing prayer). Children’s Church also resumed today.

Sermon: Conclusion to the Spiritual Disciplines Series by Rev David Tidey. Songs sung prior to the message: House of the Lord; A Thousand Hallelujahs; I will Run to You. Scripture readings: 1 Timothy 4: 7 – 10 and 1 Corinthians 9: 24 – 27. Following the Communion, the service was closed with the song: Lord Reign in me. Children’s church will resume next Sunday the 9th August. 

Sermon: Discipling Others from the Spiritual Disciplines Series by Rev David Tidey. Songs sung prior to the message: This Is Amazing Grace; Build My Life; I Will Follow; Christ Is Enough. Prayer focus: Prayer for our World. Scripture Readings: Matthew 28: 18 – 20 and 2 Timothy 3: 10 – 17. No Children’s Church today. Resumes on Sunday the 9th August. Closed the service with the song Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me.
